The Comma Chameleon (Ste Clarke - Copywriter)
Ste is a freelance copywriter based in the north-west of England and had recently committed to doing it full-time. He already had a WIX website he'd put together himself but was looking to get serious with his brand. He approached me after seeing previous work I'd done for others and asked me to create him a new website on WordPress that truly reflected his personality and brand.
Ste had put together his current website himself over a couple of weekends using the WIX platform. He felt it no longer represented the image he wanted to portray in order to attract new clients. In his own words he felt it was "the equivalent of an overflowing ashtray".
We talked on a Zoom call and I had him fill out a questionnaire so I could get a good idea of what exactly he wanted to go for with his new website. He already had a new logo so I decided to base the colour scheme around that.
Ste also wanted to feature chameleons (with glasses, spiky hair, and a beard) throughout the site, so I used MidJourney to create various images that would complement the overall style of the website.
He'd recently had a branding photoshoot with Wendy Gannon of Woo Photography, and I was able to use some of the photos on the website so visitors could see the person behind the brand .
I built the site using WordPress (dot org), and kept him up to date and informed throughout the whole process. Once it was finished I thoroughly tested the new website to ensure it worked properly and looked correct across different browsers and devices. Ste was very happy with the final result (you can watch his video testimonial here), and is currently on my WordPress Care Plan, so he doesn't have to worry about any updates, meaning he can get on with his passion of writing for clients.

Here's the recommendation he left me on LinkedIn:

"My old website was the equivalent of an overflowing ashtray. It stunk, it was unsightly, it lingered in the memory for all the wrong reasons, and I suspect it was putting people off talking to me.

Louise came in and waved her magic wand over it, and the transformation was jaw-dropping. She got me straight away and the finished result is infinitely better than what I imagined it would look and move like. I was actually sad when the project came to an end because I'd had that much fun building it with her.

She's responsive, open to ideas, will constructively challenge you if she doesn't think something will work, and she's incredibly personable too.

Put simply, hire Louise if you want to have a great experience building a kick-ass website."
